At last a mettlesome squad for India

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday rested master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, and dropped out of form batsmen Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan from the 15-member squad selected for the Asia Cup to be played in Sri Lanka from June 15. Virender Sehwag is back in the squad after his injury and has been appointed Mahendra Singh Dhoni's deputy. Jharkhand's budding all-rounder Saurabh Tiwari, who was quite impressive in the third edition of the India Premier League (IPL) tournament, is the new face in the team.

The fifteen member squad is: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Captain), Virender Sehwag (Vice-Captain), Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Pragyan Ojha, Ashok Dinda, R Ashwin and Saurabh Tiwary. (ANI)
